The Bosch Powerpack Rack 500 is a Li-ion frame battery for Active Line, Performance Line and Performance Line CX e-bike drives. As a frame battery, the PowerPack is very close to the bike's centre of gravity and therefore has an extremely positive effect on riding behaviour. The five green LEDs on the charge status indicator show the charge status when the battery is switched on.

No memory effect
The PowerPacks with lithium-ion cells can be briefly charged at any time, regardless of their charge status. Interruptions to the charging process do not damage the batteries. A complete discharge is not necessary.

No self-discharge
Even after long periods of storage, e.g. winter storage, the battery can be put back into operation without recharging. PowerPacks therefore do not need to be recharged after a long break. For longer storage, a charge level of approx. 30 to 60% is recommended.

Long service life
PowerPacks are designed for many tours, kilometres and years of service. The intelligent, electronic Bosch Battery Management System (BMS) protects lithium-ion batteries from excessive temperatures, overloading and deep discharging. The BMS checks each individual cell, making the battery even more durable. The time between first use and the need to replace a PowerPack is therefore very long. Difficult conditions.
