Our Force chain is lighter, stronger and even more durable. Flattop technology creates a quieter, longer-lasting chain for long rides and countless gear changes. The Force chain is compatible with 12-speed road and 13-speed gravel cassettes.

Hard Chrome

The SRAM HARD CHROME™ chain has four times the (wear) strength of our other chains. This is due to our new machining process for the inner links and rollers. The push-pin strength and overall strength are the same as our current chains. The HARD CHRME™ chain lasts longer and is extremely stable.

PowerLock

SRAM's chain engineers developed PowerLock as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect our chains. Although PL requires no special tools for assembly, the tight tolerance range of a 10- and 11-speed drivetrain means that each PowerLock can only be used once.

Flattop

To enable X-Range™ shifting technology, we have developed a narrower chain. The unique link shape of the Flattop™ technology not only enables a wider gear range, but also ensures a quieter drivetrain and greater strength and durability of the chain.
