Q-factor adjustment:
Thanks to its 14 mm long thread, the new Look axle allows the Q-factor to be adjusted by 2 mm with the aid of a specific intermediate disc, which is available as an individual part. This enables a change from 53 to 55 mm.

Chromoly axle line for optimum reliability
A steel oversize axle is used for the axle line of the Kéo Classic 3. It consists of a mini ball bearing (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle bearing. A new spacer has been positioned to ensure that the bearing and needle are firmly seated. In this way, friction is reduced to a minimum and rotations are smoother. Thanks to a new control mechanism for pressing the axle line into the body, our pedals are absolutely reliable. Look axles are only released after a rotation test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (one impact with each rotation). This test goes far beyond the applicable EN14781 standard.

Adjustable release hardness
The spring tension can be adjusted between 8 and 12 Nm, so that all users (from beginners to very experienced users) can choose the setting that best suits their discipline.
