The hydraulic disc brake calipers of the BR-R9170 can be mounted directly to the frame thanks to their flat-mount design, which ensures a flatter profile and increases efficiency. The heat management, i.e. the effective dissipation of the heat generated during braking, is further improved with the Dura Ace brake discs and ensures even more stable braking performance.
