Shimano disc brake XTR M9000 (Race) VR

The new XTR M9000 brakes, available in Race and Trail configurations, offer different levels of thermal management, including insulated pistons (fiberglass phenolic) and insulated brake pad coatings that are 10% more heat resistant.

The XTR M9000 Race brake offers the ultimate balance between light weight and high performance. This is primarily due to the magnesium brake caliper and master cylinder as well as the carbon brake lever. Combined with the proven ICE-TECH FREEZA SM-RT99 brake discs, these brakes deliver outstanding stopping power in all conditions. Both brake levers are compatible with the new I-Spec II system, which allows shift and brake levers to be mounted on the handlebar with just one clamp, allowing more freedom in cockpit design, saving weight and improving ergonomics thanks to a wide range of adjustment options.
