The Minion DHF combines proven elements such as beveled lugs for low rolling resistance and great smoothness with longitudinally slotted lugs for more grippy edges. This gives it excellent directional stability and precise cornering. It is the reference for fast trails, from light freeride to hard downhill. The Minion DHF is constantly updated and supplemented with new versions. New are now Enduro versions in all three MTB tire sizes and the Maxxis TR versions.

SuperTacky

The SuperTacky tread is the reference for grip and performance in freeride and downhill tires, in short the basis of the most successful DH tires in the world. It consists of a base compound and the SuperTacky compound, which is extremely grippy in all ground conditions.

3C Maxx Grip (DH)

Superior racing performance thanks to three different rubber compounds in different positions in the tread. The base layer provides lower rolling resistance and stability of the tread lugs. The compound in the center of the tread provides the best grip on any surface, while the extremely cushioned compound on the shoulder lugs provides the best possible cornering grip.

3C Maxx Terra

The freeride version of our 3C tires. Significantly more grip and traction due to softer compounds, with acceptable rolling resistance, so that you can still ride well up the mountain before the great descent, and long life.

EXO Protection

This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires unchanged convincingly good.

EXO+ Protection

Maxxis new EXO+ construction combines two of our best sidewall protection materials: SKinShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, the EXO+ gives the following benefits:

• 51% stronger sidewall
• 28% more puncture protection

Tubeless Ready

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure for better traction, rolling resistance is lower than with tubing, and where there is no tubing, the risk of punctures is also lower. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other tires, because the bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. As a result, tubeless mounting is possible with the first one on all rims that comply with the standard dimensions, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Only the new MAXXIS TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by MAXXIS. Tubeless mounting of other models is at your own risk.

DoubleDown

DoubleDown tires are built like our downhill tires: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, with two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead, they are much lighter than our downhill tires, much stronger and more robust than our EXO+ TR tires and therefore ideal for hard enduro courses.
