The Edge 850 is a compact GPS bike computer with a brilliant colour display and intuitive operation via touchscreen or buttons. Innovative navigation and performance functions as well as intelligent nutrition alarms help you to get the most out of every ride. Some training and performance functions require a compatible heart rate chest strap, power meter or both.

• Nutrition alerts: Receive smart alerts on the amount of carbohydrates and fluids you should consume during your activity. The smart data takes into account your current fitness level, the demands of the route as well as the temperature and humidity.
• Garmin Coach training plans: Train for an event, reach a milestone or improve your fitness with personalised Garmin Coach training plans; Garmin Coach plans for cycling even adapt to training, recovery and distance requirements.
• Advanced training features: Power Guide, Stamina Residual Energy, Cycling Ability and more provide insights based on sports science.
• Real-time weather information: Monitor the weather and make informed decisions during the ride based on weather radar and wind direction data from weather stations. This requires the use of a smartphone and the Garmin Connect™ app.
• Groupride functions: GroupRide makes it easy to organise group rides. Share the route and stay in contact with all participants during the ride, receive accident notifications, compare yourself in leaderboards and win awards.
• Garmin Pay: No cash with you? No problem - you can pay for your coffee contactlessly with the Edge and Garmin Pay (participating providers).
