The mountain recedes. Everything falls silent. All you hear is the whooshing in your ears and the ground beneath your tyres. With the TAROK, you don’t think. You feel. The suspension and geometry are one system. It reads the trail before you see it and carries you to places where others would dismount.

Flowing trails. Aggressive descents. Tunnel vision. The trail drops away, roots criss-crossing the ground like veins. You release the brakes and, with 160 mm of front suspension travel, only you set the limits. It gets rough on the scree; impacts hammer up from below, but the mid-stroke support keeps you on your line. Then the edge, the drop: your rear suspension builds up progressively. It catches you as if it knows exactly what’s coming. You grin wildly. In the steep bend, you push hard and the 150 mm at the rear swings right along with you.
