The Schwalbe HYBRID Al Grounder is a versatile tyre for touring bikes and e-SUVs. It rolls quietly and quickly on tarmac and offers grip even off-road, on dirt tracks and over gentle terrain. This means you’re perfectly equipped for your daily commute through the city and for spontaneous detours onto unpaved paths.

With its large volume, the HYBRID Al Grounder offers cushioning and comfort usually only found in MTB tyres. Its robust construction provides reliable protection against punctures and makes it highly durable. This makes the Al Grounder ideal for modern e-bikes and e-SUVs, and it can also handle heavier loads.

THE OPTIMAL TYRE PRESSURE

For the best comfort, puncture protection and durability, you should always ensure the correct tyre pressure. The Schwalbe Pressure Guide helps you find your optimum tyre pressure. To set the pressure, we recommend using a pump with a pressure gauge or a separate pressure gauge, as checking the pressure with your thumb is often unreliable.

The tread pattern of the HYBRID Al Grounder is designed with versatility in mind. The central rib ensures low rolling resistance and a smooth ride on tarmac. The side lugs provide additional grip and stability on unpaved paths.

PUNCTURE PROTECTION

The robust construction of the Schwalbe HYBRID Al Grounder, featuring a reinforced sidewall (Double Defense, or DD for short) and RaceGuard puncture protection, offers high puncture resistance for everyday use and on tours. Furthermore, the Al Grounder meets the requirements of the ECE-R75 standard and is approved for S-pedelecs.

MATERIALS:

The HYBRID Al Grounder is manufactured using ADDIX Green. In this rubber compound, we replace some of the fossil-based raw materials with recycled and renewable ones: Petroleum-based process oils are replaced by soya oil, along with silica from rice husk ash and recycled carbon black (rCB) from the Schwalbe recycling system. VISIBILITY IN TRAFFIC

Discreet reflective stripes on the sidewall of the Schwalbe HYBRID Al Grounder ensure that you are more visible in road traffic. The reflective stripes also meet the requirements of the StVZO, meaning you do not need to fit additional spoke reflectors.
