The newly created design allows an overall gear ratio that was previously possible circuits with two chainrings. This chain ensures that Eagle is so precise, durable, smooth and quiet. The links have been made entirely without sharp corners and edges. The advantage of this, velvet smoother and a much longer life of chainring and chain. Due to the smoother chain plates, the riveting is more uniform and the tensile strength is higher. The Hard Chrome technology increases the running performance of the chain.

Flow Link - The ultra-smooth inner plates of the chain are completely free of edges. This reduces friction on the cassette and chainring. The result: quiet performance and longer component life. The chain design allows for a narrower profile. The chain is thus more torsion-resistant. Its smoother outer plates allow for more consistent riveting and higher tensile strength.

Hard Chrome - The SRAM HARD CHROME™ chain has four times the (wear) strength of our other chains. This is due to our new machining process for the inner links and rollers. The push pin strength and overall strength are equal to our current chains. HARD CHRME™ chain lasts longer and is extremely strong.

Power Lock - SRAM's chain engineers developed PowerLock® as a tool-free, secure and consistent way to connect our chains. Although PowerLock® requires no special tools for installation, given the tight tolerance range of a 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrain, each PowerLock® can only be used once.

X-Sync - SRAM's X-SYNC™ 1X chainrings deliver the ultimate in performance and durability. SRAM's long X-SYNC™ tooth edges grip the chain earlier than traditional triangular shaped teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded slanted edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance in muddy terrain, X-SYNC™ chainrings feature debris removal dimples for the inner chain links and rollers. Made in Germany, X-SYNC™ chainrings are a key component of SRAM's 1X™ drivetrain.
